On the evening of April 27th, 2018, The Night of AXENT Switzerland·Welcoming party of DESIGN Yangtze River District (DESIGN YRD) and Opening Ceremony of ADCC Hangzhou Humanistic Design Week hosted by DESIGN YRD Committee, were held in the C-box Forum of Hangzhou Creative Design Center. A lot of designers, exhibitors and government leaderships attended the event.

At around 7pm, Mr. Yaoguang Chen, the founder and creative director of Hangzhou DianShang Building Decoration Design Company, gave a speech and kicked off the party.

Later, Ms. Ying Yu, the founder of Teachers Convergence Yangtze River District and the executive director of DESIGN YRD, reviewed the birth of DESIGN YRD. “DESIGN YRD was actually derived from Mr. Ready Zhang, one of the co-founders of Guangzhou Design Week. He used to say that in the next 12 years, he wishes to establish an East China Design Week just like the Guangzhou one. This is where DESIGN Yangtze River District comes from.” “We hope that the three-day DESIGN YRD can refresh you. It is a new beginning, and I think Hangzhou should have its own design world in the future.”

Dr. Yimin Fang, vice president and technical director of AXENT, the sponsor of the night, also made a speech. “In the pursuit of AXENT ideal bathroom, we always adhere to a unique philosophy: Each resource should be smartly transformed into people’s perfect experience… In fact, our slogan – Wisdom for Life is a high generalization of this philosophy.”

Then, Mr Yejiang He, AXENT’s distributor in Hangzhou region, as well as vice president of the Zhejiang Decoration Association and the chairman of Hangzhou Brilliant True Life Company, delivered the speech. “Designers are the main force to lead a better life. A product cannot be perfect without designer’s careful creation. I have been engaged in this industry for 25 years, and Brilliant True Life has been the agent German and European brands for over 100 years. Recently, we just began to represent AXENT in Hangzhou. AXENT’s products are quite creative, and its philosophies are also in accordance with Brilliant True Life’s. Designers can lead a better life, but they also need promising brands and good products to perfect their art pieces. Therefore, I have much confidence in our cooperation with AXENT.”

In addition, Ms. Sha Wang – the executive president of ADCC Life Arts Academy, Mr. Yaoguang Chen and Mr. Qingping Zhang- the directors of ADCC Life Arts Academy, Mr. Shu Cui- co-organizer of the event, Mr. Gary Zheng- student representative as well as other guests jointly completed the opening ceremony of ADCC Hangzhou Humanities Design Week.

At the end of the party, Mrs. Ying Yu also hosted a public interest auction of black and white photography. The proceeds will be donated to the Bright Plan Charity Campaign. Actually, this occasional game was caused by a friend who mentioned Mr. Hongwei Lu, chairman of the Beiyi Design Agency, which led to a series of black and white photography activities. And Mrs. Ying Yu also heartfully created an exhibition of outstanding works through this event. At the auction, designers snapped up their favorite works in succession, and the scene was quite exciting and bustling.

At around 21:30, the welcoming party ended and the first day of DESIGN YRD – the first design event in Hangzhou in 2018, also successfully ended.
